At the heart of every high-performing organization is a strong leader – someone who drives the vision, creates the company culture and knows how to call the shots in a time of crisis. Wouldn’t it be great if every company had multiple leaders like that?
Now that the world is opening back up, many organizations are craving leadership development for their people again. We have had great success with implementing our Personify Leadership course back in the classroom, and we would love to have you join us.
Angela Sebaly, the Co-Founder of Personify Leadership
Leadership is not reserved for an elite few. It is something that we all have within us. You don’t learn to be something you already are – you learn to access the talent you already have.
Personify Leadership is designed to be easy to apply and retain. That’s why we created the body part model, broken down into eight specific categories. Each individual category, or body part, is directly related to a leadership skill or competency.
Personify Leadership is a global experiential-based leadership development company that provides comprehensive development for leaders. This includes both virtual as well as instructor-lead programs. All programs are derived from our eight-core body-focused competency model. We believe that all leaders are born with the capacity to access these competencies within them through a five-method approach that includes, experiential activities, personal reflection, case studies, group discussion and video demonstration. We teach leaders to Personify Leadership.
Personify Leadership Core Program is an engaging two-day, highly interactive program that provides comprehensive development for leaders. It is designed to be easy to apply and retain, and we wanted this to be reflected in our overall model. That’s why we created the body part model, broken down into 8 specific categories. Each individual category, or body part, is directly related to a leadership skill or competency. The training deconstructs each core competency, focusing on practical skills that you can apply immediately.
This module is a crucial part of the curriculum and is the first for a reason; we focus on intention, trust, and the relationships that are built between a leader and those that they lead. These skills are foundational for any great leader, and are necessary in order to anchor in all of the competencies that will be taught over the two days.
We will spend the session focusing on how our behaviors affect those around us, exploring this topic through a series of hands-on activities, case studies, and group discussions. This module sets the tone for the rest of the program.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
Emotional resiliency is the ability to adapt to stressful situations and relationships in the workplace. It’s nearly impossible to talk about challenges in our world today without hearing the word “stress” repeated again and again. Most people will want to learn how to make it go away. In this module, we take it one step further and explore how to embrace good stress (Yes, a certain level of challenge in the workplace is okay!) and prevent bad stress in the workplace.
This module employs a combination of neuroscience and practical examples to help you better understand stress triggers. You will walk away with tools to help you recognized when those around you are overly stressed.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
Strong communication skills are crucial for any great leader, but if you are not listening to those around you, you are missing half of what it takes to be effective. This competency focuses on developing this skill, providing you with a road map and arming you with tools to become a more effective listener.
In conjunction with the Voice of a Leader, we will explore the DiSC behavioral assessment and how your observations of others’ styles can assist you in becoming a more effective communicator. We will also discuss the Five Levels of Listening, and will learn how to Clarify and Confirm the message that you have heard.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
In order to ensure your message is received as you intend it, a solid foundational understanding of different communication and behavioral styles is imperative. We will explore this topic in-depth through the lens of the DiSC behavior assessment.
Given that communication is a two-way street, this competency is taught alongside the Ears of a Leader.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
Wouldn’t it be great if we felt comfortable enough to delegate more of what we’re juggling to our team? Unfortunately, delegation is often one of the biggest challenges that leaders face. We will delve into the facts and myths that surround this tricky topic.
This module is filled with tools based on cutting edge research that you can apply immediately. We will learn how and when it is appropriate to delegate, and to what level. Additionally, we will explore how to run effective one-on-one meetings and how to create lasting results with positive reinforcement.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
You know that there is a great leader within you, and you have the tools to provide guidance to those around you. But do others perceive you as a leader? Are you really exuding the qualities that you embody, and showing up as your best self?
The Feet of a Leader explores different ways to influence others while displaying your best leadership qualities. You will learn to “walk your talk,” and role model the behavior you want to see in others. We will look at how you can create a culture of accountability by first role modeling personal accountability.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
If you are a leader in your organization, then chances are you have had to make a hard decision or two. From employees’ personal issues to difficult ethical dilemmas, sometimes your job provides you with more challenge than you bargained for.
The Spine of the Leader module will provide you with a blueprint for how to work through these difficult situations.
We will focus on how you can tie in the various tools that you have learned over the course of the curriculum – from neuroscience to DiSC styles – to prepare an effective action plan next time you face a challenging situation. We realize that each situation is unique, and rather than focusing on general case studies, this will be an opportunity to bring to light real workplace issues that you are currently facing.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
The tools, models, and skills taught in this two-day program will change the way that you work with others and lead within your organization. So, how do you bring it all together to ensure that it lasts?
This module is exactly as it seems – creating a vision for the future so that you can make the most of what you have just learned and put it into action! You will spend time creating a vision statement, identifying what potential “energy drains” may occur (hey, no organization is perfect!) and brainstorming how to eliminate these drains.
You will conclude with an action plan, identifying specific goals, tasks, and action items from the last two days that you can begin to apply when you return. This is especially important in ensuring that you have made the most of your time and are equipped to go back to the workplace more empowered and prepared than ever before.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
